The Lockdown Diary - DAY 14

Posted 7th April 2020 at 06:03 by Cormack
Another late update. Started early in the morning, an IT gremlin decided to not sync some grunt work I'd done so I had to repeat it. Testament to my equanimity (17 - approaching five years since its last appearance) today that I didn't go postal when this came about. Ended up eating big, late, and this knocked me out and made me feel a touch 'off' as well.

Which brings me here at this hour.

No news is good news in our relative's case, managed a half hour in the sun...

The Lockdown Diary - DAY 13

Posted 6th April 2020 at 01:34 by Cormack
Late update again today, a bit like Saturday. NHS texter has been singing 'Wichita Lineman' all day so again, no text. A good day for kitchen graft and managed to bake a pan of brownies without the bloodhound kids not noticing.

Also, routine proper deep clean of the small deep fat fryer I have and use sparingly means the new oil is pristine, no debris, and is the facet of CHIP DAY! Essentially, it is only used for sporadic chips anyway and I'll sometimes have a last hurrah on the...

The Lockdown Diary - DAY 12

Posted 5th April 2020 at 04:32 by Cormack
Late update today, for Mrs C and I, the evening was spent in a binge watch of FBI process formula show Without A Trace - it's the Quincy of its day, followed by an indoor version of a takeaway tea - chicken curry, rice and chips for the kids, pizza, chips and some sweet chilli veg for Mrs C and baked hake and veg, chip shop curry, rice and chips for me. Big portion, ultimately knocked me out. Decent.

Quiet day otherwise. All bar me slept in, baked a batch of biscuits in under a...

The Lockdown Diary - DAY 11

Posted 3rd April 2020 at 23:51 by Cormack
No text today from the NHS. Amusingly, GOV.UK have texted me with the same content that the NHS sent me at the start of this blog but with an added bit that the government would like me to fill in a survey to see if I need help.

Yeah, won't be doing that. I'll deal with my NHS texts but given you're twelve days or so behind the game, government, and more pointedly, six days after the arrival of my letter, your help is a bit late in coming. Custer mean anything to you, Sparky? ...

The Lockdown Diary - DAY 10

Posted 2nd April 2020 at 18:29 by Cormack
The NHS Coronavirus team have clearly put The Very Best of the Eagles (1994) on a loop and are doing the three sudoku and two crosswords (cryptic and quick) in the Metro. No texts today.

Carpe diem. Today I decided that the dangly underarm wart that has sat under my arm for many, many beardslengths could do one. Wrapped a piece of cotton around it and pulled like a 70s character in Whizzer and Chips. Off it came. Felt pretty good about myself. My other comic experience was looking...
