Posted 21st June 2020 at 17:23 by Cormack
I'm looking at an exit strategy for this thread now - 100 days is on July 1 and seems a fair marker. Maybe I'll visit if just for retrospectives if I'm still here. There's been a therapy in doing it and if nothing else, it's a re-read that mightn't be the most edifying but at least has a decent backing track, a little something for everyone. Which reminds me...

Recommended listening - AC/DC, Whole Lotta Rosie

The Lockdown Diary - DAY 88

Posted 20th June 2020 at 17:08 by Cormack
A day of firsts of sorts, today.

Mrs C took me the shops. Big Tesco, warehouse-high roof, mask on (another first) and not allowed to touch, only to point. First time I'd sat up front in the car in three months as well. There are clearly a lot of people making chocolate chip cookies as there were neither chips nor brown sugar (which are required for the recipe I have, but you can substitute brown sugar). The Lockdown Diary - DAY 87

THE OBLIGATORY CLIPS SHOW

Another quiet day, on reflection. Tipped down all day and had me thinking to the other changed supplies over the period after going over the eggs earlier in the week (where we've gone through a phenomenal amount in lockdown)

The Lockdown Diary - DAY 86

Posted 18th June 2020 at 14:44 by Cormack
A couple of firsts this day. There was a suitable bump in the weather so Mum took a cab ride up to get out of the house and sat in our garden for a couple of hours with me with Mrs C in nearby attendance, at work indoors with the French window open to its fullest. The kids milled about a bit and the dog once again went berserk and demolish around a half pound of 'treat meat'. And I went out on my own with the dog after Mrs C ran Mum home. Dog and I did a modified short loop, just under an hour,...

The Lockdown Diary - DAY 85

Posted 17th June 2020 at 17:02 by Cormack
Guidance hasn't been updated but currently shielding has been extended to 30 June, which will take me just shy of the hundred.

I also note I can go out alone, which means I don't need someone with me to walk the dog. That's handy...

Royal Ascot, first day, no joy until late on and the last two have me in the hat for the week. My one-eighth Scandi salutes you, Thore Hammer Hansen.

Recommended listening - The Beatles, Norwegian Wood
